How to install a watch face on your Galaxy Watch

Installing a Wear OS watch face takes about two minutes. Every Pixelpond watch face is a small app on the Google Play Store, so the process is the same as installing any other app — find it, tap install, then set it as your active face. Here is the full walkthrough for Samsung Galaxy Watch 4+ and Google Pixel Watch.

Step by step

  1. Open the Play Store on your watch or phone. On the watch, press the home button and open the Google Play Store app. You can also browse Google Play on the paired phone — anything you buy or install there syncs to the watch automatically.
  2. Search for the watch face. Search for the face by name, or open its Pixelpond face page and tap the Google Play link. Each Pixelpond watch face is its own small app on the Play Store.
  3. Install it. Tap Install. The face downloads straight to the watch. If you started on the phone, give it a few seconds to sync over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
  4. Open the watch face picker. On the watch, touch and hold the current face until the picker appears, then swipe to find the newly installed face. You can also set it from the Galaxy Wearable or Pixel Watch app on your phone under Watch faces.
  5. Set it as your active face. Tap the face to apply it. Open Customize to adjust colours, complications, and any options the face offers, then tap to confirm.

Which watches are supported?

Pixelpond watch faces run on modern Wear OS — Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and newer and Google Pixel Watch. Each face lists its exact requirement on its own page (a few, like Deep Horizon, need Wear OS 6). Older Tizen-based Samsung watches are not supported.

Do I install from the watch or the phone?

Either works. Installing from Google Play on your paired phone syncs the face to the watch automatically; installing from the Play Store on the watch itself is just as quick.

I installed the face but can't find it. Where is it?

Touch and hold your current watch face to open the picker, then swipe through to the new face. If it still isn't there, give the watch a minute to finish syncing, or set it from the Watch faces section of the Galaxy Wearable / Pixel Watch phone app.

Does a watch face collect my data?
