The little world

A pixel tribute to old mechanical watches — gold bezel, Roman numerals, a moonlit mountain dial. Still on the workbench.

Pixel Royale is a watch face we're still drawing — for now it lives only as a Watch Face Studio project. The plan: an ornate analog dial in pixel form, with a gold bezel, Roman numerals, a power-reserve detail, and a moon-and-sun mountain subdial.

The idea

Old watchmaking, in pixel form

Pixel Royale borrows the cues of traditional mechanical watches — restraint, symmetry, a little gold — and redraws them dot by dot. Here's where the design is headed.

Roman Numerals

Classic markers to keep the dial formal and easy to read.

Privacy Policy - Pixel Royale Watch Face

This Privacy Policy applies to the planned 'Pixel Royale: Retro Watch' watch face (package name: 'com.pixelpond.watchface.pixelroyale'), developed by Pixelpond. This watch face is designed as a local, device-only application. It does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal user data, usage analytics, location data, or device identifiers with the developer or any third parties.

The watch face reads the following information only to render itself:

Current system time, day, and date to render the analog hands and calendar displays.
Device battery percentage to display the mechanical-style power reserve dial.
Ambient and active mode state so the watch face can render the correct display mode.

This watch face will be built using the declarative Watch Face Format, meaning it will contain no executable code (android:hasCode="false") and lack network access permissions. All rendering will be handled locally by the Wear OS operating system. This application does not require an internet connection and contains no advertisements, in-app purchases, analytics, crash reporting, or third-party SDKs.
